Party Menu Ideas:
We love to host the very last meal of Tishrei, Simchat Torah. Great big bash.
I am only too aware that hosting that meal always get tricky. Everyone errs on the tipsy and raucous side, and it gets to be be a late late lunch. But you know what, let them have fun, and associate our table with lots of fun and lots of good food.
No meat in sight! Sorry Not Sorry!
All vegetarian and fish dishes. When I described the menu to our guests before they dug in, I could plainly see they were delighted to get a break from meat dishes after a full month of formal square meals, and greatly welcomed the more playful and lighter fare, featuring some of my favorite flavors: Moroccan and Asian.
I never buy prepared foods, but I make just one exception for the delicious all-natural Galil Vegetarian Stuffed Grape Leaves. Make sure it is Galil brand, they know how to make them best.
These party menu ideas are a smashing success
They showcase all the vegetable and fish dishes in all their glory. But the big standouts were: The soup, the tajine and the tartare. My daughter Bella and I got busy rolling those nori handrolls, much easier than it looks. Dessert revolved around chocolate, so no favorites there, it always sells out. Still, those sea salt caramel truffles are what I would walk miles for!
